Ubuntu tries to use GSS authentication by default if there is no SSH public key on the server. There are two ways to disable this: 1, on the command line, add '-o GSSAPIAuthentication=no', e.g. ssh -o GSSAPIAuthentication=no -p 2201 192.168.21.19 2, add the following line to ~/.ssh/config GSSAPIAuthentication=no
